Victoria Cole (United Kingdom)
I cannot recommend Sokha more highly – he has the most perfect home stay situated in a picturesque location in Takeo Provence in a little town unknown by Tourists (until now). I met Sokha in Phnom Penh and he kindly invited me to stay with his family in his new home which he had spent many hours building. He travelled with me for four days around Cambodia showing me sights, translating where necessary and taking me off the beaten track many a time to see some of the many spectacular sights of Cambodia. Nothing was too much trouble for him and I would be very happy to act as a reference for him if anyone would like to contact me on my e-mail address vrcole (at) hotmail.com.

I actually met Sokha by chance when I needed a taxi drive for half a day in Phnom Penh. Meeting him that day turned out to a great blessing for many reasons. I spent approximately 4 days with him in which he drove me around Phnom Penh and Takeo Province. Not only did he make life easy for me in Phnom Penh in my indelible quest to photograph and meet everyday Cambodians but he also made fantastic company – and would enlighten me with historical and cultural anecdotes wherever we went.  He made things easy and comfortable for me. Meeting his family and the villagers was an absolute highlight of a 2 week trip around Cambodia.   Everyone there was receptive, warm and dignified – and you learnt what everyday life is like for rural Cambodian villagers.

Karen and Kevin Win (United Kingdom)
We met Sokha on our first visit to Cambodia in 2005 when he drove us to the airport. We have returned twice since then and each time Sokha has been our driver, guide and friend. He has driven us around Siem Reap, Battambang Province, Ratanakiri Province and Phnom Penh area. One of the highlights of our visits to Cambodia was visiting his home and spending time with Sokha, his family and the people of the village. This was truly a very special and unique experience and we would love to one day return and spend more time there. We would highly recommend this homestay experience to anyone who really wants to see the true Cambodia. They will have an amazing experience, enjoy good food and meet some lovely people. If anyone wants to contact us and ask questions, ask Sokha to pass our email address to you.
